Proven Leadership
for Roswell.
Leadership During Challenging Times
Matt delivered for Roswell residents during one of the greatest pandemics in our nation’s history. In the past year, Matt worked diligently with local governments, charities, and organizations to ensure they had the resources needed to help those in greatest need. Matt also helped countless residents who needed assistance by connecting them to the appropriate state agencies. He worked with the city council successfully in ensuring all city services remained intact and fully funded throughout the pandemic, including public safety, without raising taxes on residents.
A World Class Parks Program
Nobody has worked harder than Matt to make Roswell’s Parks and Recreation the envy of the nation. As a lifelong resident of Roswell and product of numerous Parks and Recreation Programs himself, he understands why residents and future residents are drawn to our parks system. When re-elected, count on Matt to diligently protect and improve on Roswell’s Gold Medal award-winning parks system by making the right investments. Some of Matt’s priorities are working to fund the River Parks Master Plan on the Chattahoochee River and making sure all recreation programs continue to be fully funded.
Historic Preservation
Preserving Roswell’s most unique asset, the historic district, is paramount to Matt. As a nearby resident of the historic district, Matt understands the importance of protecting its character and feel while keeping its vibrant culture. In his first term, Matt helped to create and implement the Roswell Historic District Master Plan (HDMP). Matt believes future growth in the historic district should be in line with resident wishes and should fit the character of the area.
Business Friendly
Roswell boasts a healthy roster of all sizes of businesses. During his first term, Matt attended the majority of ribbon cuttings signaling his support of all businesses. Matt looks to strengthen business incentives, recruitment, and retention while helping Roswell’s reputation become more business friendly.
